Services
Everything below happens at 3203 Penhurst Dr, Louisville. No work is subcontracted, and every quote is fixed before we cut anything.
What we can build
Most projects start with a sofa or a dining table and grow from there. You can hire us for a single piece, a whole room, or forty chairs for a café that all have to match.
01
Custom furniture, built to measure
Sofas, sectionals, chairs, dining tables, beds, benches, shelving and built-in cabinetry, drawn to the exact width, depth and height your room allows. You approve a dimensioned drawing and a fixed price before we buy material. Frames are solid white oak, walnut or ash with mortise-and-tenon or doweled joinery — no particleboard, no staples holding a frame together.
02
Upholstery and refinishing
New covers, new foam and new webbing on furniture you already own, or a new hand-rubbed finish on a table that has been sanded through. We strip to the frame, replace what has failed, and rebuild the cushion to the firmness you ask for. If the frame is beyond saving we will say so and quote a replacement instead.
03
Whole rooms and commercial fit-outs
A dining room, a lounge, a waiting area or a whole café floor, planned as one job so the wood grain and dye lots match across every piece. We work from your architect’s plan or measure the space ourselves, and we schedule production around your opening date rather than the other way round.
04
Delivery, installation and warranty
Two people, blankets and straps, and a plan for the doorway before we lift anything. We place the piece, level it, adjust doors and drawers on site, and take all the packaging away with us. Every frame carries a ten-year structural warranty, and we come back and fix adjustments free in the first year.
05
Design help before you commit
If you cannot picture the piece, bring the room. We will walk the samples and help you choose wood, cover and proportions, then draw two or three directions to scale. There is no charge for this and no obligation to order.
Materials we keep in the shop
We buy hardwood from mills in Kentucky and Indiana and keep the common species in stock, so a project rarely waits on material. If you want something we do not carry, we will source it and tell you what it adds to the lead time.
- White oak, walnut, ash, cherry — kiln-dried to 6–8% moisture, milled in the shop
- Upholstery — full-grain and top-grain leather, performance weaves, wool, bouclé, and customer-supplied fabric
- Fill — high-resilience foam, feather-and-down wraps, eight-way hand-tied springs, rubber webbing
- Finish — hand-rubbed hardwax oil, water-based lacquer, low-VOC stains, or your colour matched to a sample
- Metal — blackened steel and brass legs, footrests, handles and brackets, made to order
